Established in 2014, Marigold & Grey is an artisan gifting business specializing in custom gift design for weddings and corporate events all while operating an e-commerce platform for lifestyle gifting. We are currently searching for a highly organized, energetic and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join the team and work on-site in our Kensington, Maryland studio! The Operations Manager is responsible for all logistics involved in running the business, specifically the execution of all custom projects as well as e-commerce order fulfillment.

The Position: Operations Manager

Responsibilities Include:

Placing all orders for both stock and non-stock inventory

Monitoring inventory levels and re-order accordingly

Receiving in inventory

Overseeing wholesale account relationships including the creation of new relationships

Managing project timelines from closed sale through client delivery

Facilitating all client communication from closed sale through delivery

Gift assembly from prep to completion

Assessing labor needs and staffing accordingly

Shipping to venues and clients and monitoring tracking through to delivery

Management of drop-shipping accounts

Performing and coordinating delivery service to venues and client locations

Quality control of all incoming inventory and troubleshooting issues that arise

Training and managing all interns for operations related tasks

Training and managing all temporary workers for operations related tasks

Ownership of the e-commerce order fulfillment process

Pricing and profit analysis

Representing M&G at occasional industry networking events and relationship building activities

Maximizing efficiencies and optimizing workflows

Overseeing organization of inventory and all other supplies

Special projects as assigned

Must Haves:

Completed undergraduate degree or degree in progress is preferred

Project management experience a plus

Strong organizational and research skills

Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook a MUST; WordPress and Photoshop are a plus! Ability to travel within the DC/MD/VA area via own transportation for gift deliveries

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A can-do attitude and excellent work ethic

Upbeat personality

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

A genuine desire to assume a hands-on role and contribute to a growing creative small business

Details:

40 hours per week

Monday – Friday
