Custom Welcome Gifts for DC Wedding at Hotel Monaco

We’re honored to design custom wedding welcome gifts for each and every client who contacts us. However, when a client is proudly serving our country as a Marine, we feel even more honored to play a part in their wedding day!

The bride and her groom hosted their wedding at Hotel Monaco in downtown Washington, D.C (the most patriotic city for a devoted member of our armed forces!). The hotel mixes modern and whimsical styles incredibly, and the space serves as such a fun welcome for a wedding. While designing the couple’s suite, we knew we wanted to add to the festivities by including a sweet treat (or two!), a refreshing drink, and a keepsake.

We adore using totes as the base for our custom welcome bags because they serve as the perfect piece for guests to use again (sometimes even as a carry-on while traveling home after the fun weekend!). The bride’s maid of honor designed a fantastic map of D.C. with all of the area’s most well known museums and points of interest. We happily had it custom printed on each bag. We also loved adding an American flag pin to each strap in honor of the groom’s service. We finished them off with a blush satin ribbon and classic welcome tag.

One of the best ways to welcome guests after a long day of travel is with a cool drink and a treat. Inside each patriotic tote, we added two cans of our favorite Perrier to enjoy, and we’re sure guests loved their U.S. Capitol cookies from Two Sugars Dessert Studio. Because two desserts are always better than one, we also turned to Olivia Macaron to create macarons! A welcome note from the bride and groom and welcome letter (featuring the same map as on the bag) rounded out the gifts.
