Custom Client Gifts for Husband & Wife Wedding Photography Team, Alysia + Jayson Photography

Fairly often these days I'm being asked to design custom welcome gifts for wedding photographers to gift to their engaged couples. Usually, they come to me because they've been struggling with what to include in the gift and have no clue where to begin. Or, they've been "just getting by" and including different things each time yet nothing they're really in love with. Or, they've gone the traditional corporate gift route and the gift didn't end up matching their soft, luxe, airy aesthetic and instead looked a bit too...well....corporate-y.
Husband and wife team Alysia + Jayson Photography approached me after following my work on Instagram. Not soon after, they approached me about creating gifts that would accurately express their brand and allow them to (in their own words) "love on their couples". When we first spoke, they were in the car together headed to DC for an engagement session. I could hear the passion and pure joy this couple has for their business. We instantly hit it off and even discovered that Jayson and I both have a medical sales background and are loving our new lives finally chasing our dreams of working as creatives. Small world, right?
What struck me as extra special was their desire to include items they personally have an affinity for. They wanted their couples to enjoy some of the very same things that have meaning in their own lives. Ahh...love these two! After the call, I immediately got to work on a design.
Alysia loves lavender. Jayson loves chocolate. And they both are HUGE fans of Heart Coffee Roasters in Portland, Oregon. So, of course I included elements of each. Then to incorporate the look and feel of their branding, I chose a neutral seagrass keepsake box, a feminine candle, along with a custom calligraphy gift tag by Poppy & Scooter. I then finished it off with blush satin ribbon.
And here they are all bundled up and ready to head out the door!
