Cochella-Inspired Glamping Gifts for DC Planners Retreat

When Laura of Grit & Grace called to see if we were interested in designing welcome gifts for their upcoming Glamping Event at Tranquility Farm, there wasn't even a question. We were in! But before I show you the swag, I have to show you some of my favorite elements from this overnight getaway!
First, check-in was inside the silo and our name tags (and tent assignments) were carefully draped over a teepee. And not just any teepee. A teepee adorned with an ivy garland by Holly Chapple and team.

Onto tent city. These weren't your everyday tents, my friends. They had actual beds with mattresses to rival any of the nicest ones you'd have at home. A small dining table (with more Holly Chapple florals!) and two chairs were anchored by an area rug. The linens on the beds were lush and cozy and the tents even came equipped with small lights to aid in getting dressed after dark. Thank you Solid Ground Shelters, based in Charlottesville, Virginia, for these accommodations. I couldn't help but notice how perfect they'd be for an alternative bachelorette weekend!!

Dinner was just as extraordinary. The beautifully-finished barn was decked out with a refined boho feel. Look at these denim pockets to anchor the flatware. Too fun!

Dinner was served in actual picnic baskets! Multiple courses so fresh, interesting and delicious, you'd swear they could not have possibly come from a picnic basket.

And now for after-dinner entertainment. We gathered by the fire pit and roasted s'mores all while being treated to an acoustic performance, compliments of Elan Artists, as the sun went down and stars came out. Amazing, perfect vibe. It had me wondering why I don't break away from my business more often to get some relaxation like this.

And now, onto the gifts! The boho, cochella-inspired theme was a delight to design around! My goal was to curate brightly colored gift contents that were fun, feminine and functional! We began with a custom-printed cosmetic pouch with the message "Happy Camper" to immediately set the tone for an upbeat getaway. The pouches, along with a ikat-patterned head wrap, were placed on each planner's bed inside their tent for them to discover upon arrival.

The best part? The gold mini-flashlights that ended up being absolutely necessary in order to get around camp after-dark and especially for those middle-of-the-night trips to the bathroom! And of course, temporary tattoos and water bottles in the shape flasks really pulled it all together.
